WE BELIEVE

The sum of all our theological beliefs is Jesus Christ.

Everything we believe - all the details of our doctrine - spring from knowing God through His Son Jesus Christ. He's the reason we exist, the goal we aim for, and the explanation of life!

The King James Bible is the Word of God

We believe that the Bible was written by men under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the perfect word of God and is without error from beginning to end. The truth of Scripture and the person of Christ are the foundations of the church and the life of the believer (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).

God

We believe there is one and only one living and true God. He is revealed to us as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 8:6).

Fall of Man

We believe man was created in the image and likeness of God: but in Adam’s sin the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God. Man is totally depraved and, of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition (Genesis 1:26-27, 3:16-19; Romans 3:22-23, 5:12, 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-3, 4:17-19).

Sacrifice of Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died as a substitution payment for the sins of the whole world. He physically arose from the dead and then ascended into heaven to the right hand of the Father. Simple faith in this sacrifice is the only way to salvation for mankind (Luke 24; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 5:8-10: 1 Peter 3:18).

Salvation

We believe that we are saved by God’s grace when we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Man is sinful and does not have the ability to save himself, no matter how many good works he does. It is through Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection that man is saved from sin. However, once we place our faith and trust in Christ, our faith will be evidenced by good works, obedience, and the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 5:22-23).

Assurance of Salvation

We believe that if a person has made a true, heart-changing decision to accept Christ, then they can never lose their salvation (John 10:27-28; Romans 8:38-39). When a believer sins, their fellowship with God is interrupted but never broken (1 John 1:9). However, the Bible is clear that those who do not place their faith and trust in Christ in this lifetime will spend eternity in a Christless hell (Revelation 21:8).

End Times and Judgement

Jesus Christ Himself will soon come again in the air to catch-up His Church to reward their service. The unbelievers left behind will go through a period called the Tribulation, after which Christ will return to the earth to set up His Kingdom of one thousand years of righteous rule. After this, the unbelievers of all ages will stand at The Great White Throne to be judged and cast into the Lake Of Fire, separated from God forever, while the believers spend eternity in their resurrected and glorified bodies in fullness of joy in Heaven with the Lord (Matthew 24:29-42; 1 Corinthians 15:35-58; 2 Corinthians 5:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelations 19:11, 20:13).

Baptism

We believe that baptism does not save anyone, but is a believer’s symbolic identification with the death, burial, and resurrections of Jesus. It is done by immersion as an act of obedience by those who have put their faith and trust in Christ (Matthew 28:19-20; Romans 6:3-5).

Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice. The bread and cup represent the body and blood of Christ. Those who have accepted Christ as Savior and Lord participate in the Lord’s Supper during observances (Matthew 26:26-28).

The Church

We believe that Christ is the Head of the church and that the congregation, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, is the most basic unit of the church government (Colossians 1:18; Acts 13, 15). A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of baptized believers who are associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth.
